Huntsville, AL– January 13, 2021: Yorktown Systems Group, a professional services company providing customized solutions and management capabilities to help Federal and Civil organizations, announced it recently received CMMI Capability Level 2 for Appraisal and Certification, which doubles the number of functional groups from four to eight. CMMI, or Capability Maturity Model Integration, applies to an organization’s performance and process improvement achievements in individual practice areas. CMMI has a strong focus on quality-related activities including requirements management, quality assurance, verification, and validation. In addition, it ratifies Yorktown’s continued effort to exceed customer expectations by delivering quality service and following a global standard for efficiency.

CMMI Capability Level 2-rated organizations are characterized by managed processes that are executed in accordance with policy; monitored, controlled, and reviewed; and conducted by skilled people with adequate resources; and that produce controlled outputs.
Yorktown has a solid history of benchmark business processes based on industry best practices and quality-related credentials.
