HUNTSVILLE, Ala – Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. (Yorktown), has promoted Chief Financial Officer Suzanne Mathew to President. Yorktown Systems Group provides the highest quality services and solutions for training, ISR, and mission support – based upon a systematic approach to complex challenges and grounded in rigorous, comprehensive methodologies/procedures, reinforced by select state-of-the art capabilities/discriminators in training applications, AR/VR tools, and ISR/PED software.
Mathew, a University of Alabama in Huntsville alumna, has over 25 years of government contracting experience. Specializing in project accounting and finance, contract execution, strategic planning and DCAA compliance, she quickly progressed through the ranks from accountant to vice president of finance before serving as Yorktown’s CFO in 2016. Yorktown’s exponential growth is a huge testament to Mathew’s skills and dedication to her work. In just six years, Yorktown expanded from a company with less than ninety employees to a corporation with over 700 employees.
Mathew attributes Yorktown’s overwhelming growth to the culture the company has established. Yorktown values reliability, honesty, integrity, accountability, and teamwork. The Yorktown team is dedicated to pursuing excellence and practicing open communication. Mathew believes Yorktown and its people have the infrastructure to establish a long standing legacy. Yorktown is dedicated to leaving a legacy of culture, mentorship, and leadership. Outside of preparing the warfighter for a successful deployment, Yorktown’s vision is shifting to increase humanitarian efforts. In the future, there will be more of a presence of global contracting, including humanitarian support, cyber security, analytics, and intelligence.
