Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. (YSG), a Huntsville-based company supporting the Department of Defense, announced the launch of Foundation 1781, a charitable organization that partners with community and veteran organizations to promote childhood education, mitigate hunger issues and overcome hardships that affect the under-resourced.

“Our team has been passionate about serving the Tennessee Valley community since our establishment,” said Bryan Dyer, Yorktown president and CEO. “As our team continues to grow, it made sense for us to create something more formal, independent of Yorktown, and backed with a dedicated team of individuals who strive to create social good in the communities we call home. Foundation 1781 will be the catalyst to unite our passion to do good, coupled with the dire needs of those we serve.”

Yorktown’s commitment to service began within the veteran community over 12 years ago, as the company was founded on the premise of helping Soldiers succeed in their role. With a workforce of more than 50% veterans, their efforts expanded not only toward the Armed Forces but to support our nation’s military members and their families, combat hunger within the community, invest in education, and provide assistance to front-line workers.
