Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. (Yorktown), is pleased to announce Mr. Aidis Zunde as our Chief Operating Officer (COO) responsible for maintaining and driving operational results within the company while providing leadership and strategic vision across the organization. More recently, Mr. Zunde served as the Senior Director for Business Development and Strategy, responsible for the growth of the Defense and Federal Solutions (DFS) Group within Huntington Ingalls Industries – Technical Solutions Division (HII-TSD). Previously, Mr. Zunde was the Senior Director for a business unit in HII, providing a range of training, simulation, and systems engineering services across DoD, and a Director of a division in Lockheed Martin, supporting both DoD and the Intelligence Community with intelligence analysis, training, and intelligence/operations integration.

Aidis Zunde is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and commissioned as an Infantry officer; he served in positions of increasing responsibility from Second Lieutenant to Colonel in the 82nd Airborne Division, the 75th Ranger Regiment, the US Army Staff, and the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Aidis commanded the 1st Battalion, 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment (US Army Airborne School). Mr. Zunde is an Olmsted Scholar, earning his Master’s Degree in International Economics at the University of Warsaw, Poland. He resides in Hillsborough, North Carolina with his wife, Juliana.
