2023 Employees of the Year Announced

HUNTSVILLE, AL – Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. is pleased to announce the selection of Patricia Lewis and Scott Humpert as the Employees of the Year for 2023. Yorktown’s Employee of the Year program recognizes those employees who stand out in all aspects of the company’s values.

Program Support Employee of the Year: Patricia Lewis

Maneuver Center of Excellence, Human Resource Support Staff Administrative Manager/ Task Order Lead

Mrs. Patricia Lewis has served as the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) Human Resource Support Staff (HRSS) Administrative Manager/Task Order Lead since Yorktown Systems Group was awarded the task order in 2021. Patricia leads a team of 9 HRSS personnel responsible for tasks as varied as in-processing all U.S. Army lieutenants attending either the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course, Armor Basic Officer Leader Course, and Direct Commission Courses to creating Common Access Cards for students, international students, cadre, other military members, Department of the Army civilians, contractors, retirees, and family members. Patricia brings a wealth of HR, recruiting, and retention knowledge to her job, and she immediately developed a positive rapport with 3-81 Armor leadership. While attending team meetings, she identified gaps, inefficiencies, and other areas that could impede the unit’s overall mission while always providing solutions or recommended courses of action to improve performance. The unit now relies on her like a primary staff officer and depends on her and the entire HRSS team to help accomplish their mission.

“Patricia embodies the Yorktown values, demonstrates them daily, and is the reason Yorktown was able to win the program recompete and significantly grow the HRSS team.” – Darin Nunn, MCoE Program Manager.
