Huntsville, AL – Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. (Yorktown), is proud to announce the selection of Ms. Dellena Anderson as the Employee of the Month for May 2018.
Dellena joined Yorktown as a Sustainment Automation Support Management Office (SASMO) Instructor on the SASMO Task Order in April 2017. Dellena demonstrates quiet, reliable professionalism in her daily execution of SASMO duties and has mastered seven sustainment automation systems, including software and hardware configurations and troubleshooting techniques. She helps Soldiers on their path to achieving this same level of mastery and understanding by communicating with confidence and expertise, and providing detailed systems instruction in a way that enhances knowledge retention.
Dellena sought opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our support for the SASMO contract. She helped streamline and increase accountability controls by improving coordination, packaging, and shipping of Government-furnished property to several national and international training locations. She has also been recognized for her meticulous care and documentation of assessment records and student academic performance documents for dozens of SASMO classes.
She has coordinated and synchronized the notification and in-processing of hundreds of SASMO students from duty stations across the United States. Ms. Anderson's performance, professionalism, and dedication to the Yorktown ethos of, "Your Mission. Our Strength." has been exemplary.
In addition to performing her daily duties as an instructor, her Project Leader selected Dellena to perform several critical administrative functions including: assisting with the administration of each SASMO course and also serving as a SASMO Instructor Trainer.
SASMO Project Leader, Mr. Jerome Williams, states, “Dellena is genuinely committed to customer service and students’ education. She readily prepares herself for every class she instructs by conducting rehearsals. She displays phenomenal teamwork and is willing to execute any task asked of her.” The entire Yorktown Team stands with Mr. Williams in recognizing Dellena’s accomplishments.
