Yorktown Awarded US Army Ordnance School, Fort Lee, VA Instructor/Writer Services Task Order

Huntsville, AL– Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. (Yorktown) has been awarded a task order to provide the US Army Ordnance School, Fort Lee, Virginia, with Instructor/Writer Services for Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 91B – Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic and Recovery Operations courses. This task order has been awarded by The Sustainment Center of Excellence (SCoE) for an Instructor, Training Support, and Development (ITSD) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract.

Under this task order, Yorktown will provide Instructor/Writer support to the Ordnance School’s Advanced Individual Training (AIT) for Soldiers/Students on 91B - Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic operations and support. The wheeled vehicle mechanic supervises and performs field and sustainment level maintenance and recovery operations on light and heavy wheeled vehicles, their associated trailers and material handling equipment. Yorktown will also provide instruction and facilitation of Basic Electronic Maintenance Training.

In addition to providing MOS 91B AIT support, Yorktown will provide training in support of the Ordnance School’s Recovery Operations (Wheeled) Course. This course provides selected Soldiers/Students the Additional Skill Identifier, H8 – Recovery Operations.

Training will include classroom instruction, hands-on performance-oriented training, and simulation/virtual training. Yorktown’s instructors will also provide aid in updating student and instructor records and in student counseling. Yorktown provides subject matter experts to develop revisions of the program of instructions, lesson plans, and training support packages.

Yorktown will provide this support at the Ordnance School’s Wheel Maintenance Training Department, Armament and Electronics Training Department, and Track Metalworking Recovery Department, at Fort Lee, Virginia.
