Fort Bragg, NC – Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. (Yorktown) announces the selection of Scott McDonough as the Project Manager of the Year for 2018.
Scott McDonough serves as the LREC Deputy Program Manager – 1st SFC (A) and the 1st SFC (A) Senior Component Level Analyst. From the beginning of the LREC contract in 2017, Scott has shown he is a reliable manager and effectively balances his management responsibilities as well as his analyst duties and responsibilities. He manages a geographically dispersed work force located in 12 different CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Scott consistently holds himself to a high performance and ethical standard in all his assigned duties and daily interaction with LREC personnel: military service members, government civilian, and the contracted workforce. Scott is praised for his honesty, which is intentional and thoughtful. He is authentic and is never questioned by his superiors, peers, and subordinates. Scott embodies the Yorktown Guiding Principle, “Live the Golden Rule,” by treating the government customers and subordinates with courtesy and respect. He maintains effective, open communications with all government personnel and the Yorktown employees involved with LREC. Scott displays ownership of all assigned tasks, and his work ethic is praised and valued by all personnel involved with the LREC program. His knowledge and expertise are sought out and valued within the LREC community.

Scott’s willingness to work with little or no guidance and limited supervision has allowed me to focus on other aspects of the SOCOM LREC program.”
