Huntsville, AL – Yorktown Systems Group, Inc., a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is proud to announce the selection of Ms. Suzanne Chandler as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As Yorktown has experienced tremendous growth with the award of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) TEAMS Office Administration and Foreign Service Institute (FSI) School for Language Studies (SLS) contracts, there arose a need for a financial leader experienced in preparing a company for the transition into a larger rapidly growing business. Suzanne joins Yorktown from Tyonek Native Corporation, where she held the positions of Vice President of Finance, interim subsidiary President, and Strategic Planning Leader.
With twenty years of experience in government contracting, she has proven herself adept at implementing competitive pricing structures for proposals, audit support, automating inter-company processes, delivering successful contract execution, and streamlining accounting and budget analyses. Suzanne began her career in the contracts department and then as an accountant at Quality Research, and she holds a Master's in Accounting from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She is the proud mom of a nine-year-old daughter and a native of Alabama.
Yorktown is delighted to welcome Suzanne to the Yorktown team at such an exciting, unique time. Bryan Dyer, CEO, says that Suzanne will play a significant role in developing the financial and strategic vision for Yorktown as we continue to grow and offer new capabilities. She has already jumped in head-first, working with the Finance, Contract Management, and Human Resources departments.
