Huntsville, AL – Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. (Yorktown), a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is excited to announce the recognition of Mr. Mike Jennings as the Employee of the Year for 2015.
Mike Jennings joined the Yorktown team in September 2011 as a Senior Instructor on the Counterinsurgency (COIN) contract at Fort Polk, LA, and was eventually promoted to COIN Assistant Program Manager. Mike is currently the Operations and Training Specialist for the Dismounted Counter Improvised Explosive Device Tactics Master Trainer (DCT-MT) Mobile Training Team (MTT) contract at Fort Benning, GA. Among many tasks, Mike leads initial coordination with units and maintains continuity for the course. Mike also conducts Quality Control and develops training for the course.
Mike has done an outstanding job not only for the DCT-MT, but has also accomplished several tasks to help other Yorktown efforts. Whenever the company needed extra assistance, Mike learned what needed to be done and accomplished whatever was necessary to guarantee mission success. Mike had a vital role in developing Yorktown’s new Program Executive Office (PEO) course, offered through GoArmyEd.
