Candidates must have technical, educational, and functional expertise designing, developing, and implementing similar training programs for the U.S. Army in both operational and institutional environments with a course no less than one week in duration. Prior experience as an ASA Instructor is desired.
Experience in the delivery of military instruction (Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) certified or equivalent certification); Law enforcement or military experience relevant to ASA Instruction and understanding of observation, human behavior recognition, and pattern analysis skills; excellent public speaking abilities and small group instruction experience; Demonstrate proficiency in the use of automatic data processing (ADP) equipment and standard desktop publishing software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite); Successfully complete a training curriculum in behavioral profiling (e.g., the Advanced Situational Awareness—Advanced (ASA-A) course, United States Marine Corps (USMC) Combat Hunter course, etc.). Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years active duty service in combat
arms, Special Ops, AWG, MI or MP branches or equivalent, min 12 months combat experience; OR Certified law enforcement professional with a verifiable record of at least five years of professional courses (i.e FTO, SWAT, PTO, Narcotics, Street Crimes, specialty schools, working as a member of a task force, etc.) OR Federal agent with experience working felony cases at the street level (e.g., violent crimes, gang unit, narcotics unit, homicide, RICO cases, etc.).
One year of experience developing, leading, and delivering programs that analyze human terrain in law enforcement and military environments; One year of experience with the systems approach to training/curriculum development (ADDIE) and management; One
year of experience teaching ASA through MTT and resident courses (minimum of eight MTTs); One year of experience as an ASA senior instructor having have served as a senior/lead instructor for a minimum of six (6) ASA or equivalent (observation, human behavior recognition, and pattern analysis skills ) instructional classes; One year of experience as a team member providing similar work. One
year experience in support of the Army ASA instructional development team preferred; One year of experience working with military instructors.
